Wonderful, excelse, comfortable stay, surrounded by the best Family Owners & lovely Receptionist

As a long term Traveller who comes every year to Asia, remaining not less than 6-7-8 Months, is essential to count with good places, with the best relation between quality-location-price. Long time travellers know that very well. I can assert that Olive Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Hanoi, for several important reasons. Location, amenities, nice rooms, cleanness, but I wish to point to another important factor, which is how this lovely Family and the excellent personal, treat customers, making you feel that you are at Home in every moment of your stay in Olive. The Hotel Owners and employees, are really wonderful, lovely, hospitalary persons, who try permanently to make your visit to Hanoi much better They also offer with very good competitive prices in in Tours (I have made 3 Tours through them), and you may be confident, that the Tour quality will be the best, since the owners themselves, check previously which is the best Tour Agent, to be sure regarding the relation price-quality, which is very important, considering that many agencies give you a lesser quality than what you pay, so through Olive Hotel, you may be completely sure that you will enjoy your tour at maximum, as well as count with total security on the Tours. I will return to Olive-no doubt about it-every time I visit the beautiful Hanoi. I was 23 nights in Olive and I am planning to come back soon this year or the next. Absolutely recommendable, excellent relation quality-price, superb location, very close to Hoan Kiem Lake (5 minutes walking), near all the main Hanoi tourist and commercial attractions and interests. This hotel has good location, you can easily get many places. The hotel is vintage style, lovely and interesting. The staffs are friendly and helpful. You can ask them about everything such as tours, bus ticket, restaurents, bars, coffee,... Good choice for you to stay in Ha Noi

Excellent location in the heart of the Old Quarter.

Excellent location in the heart of the Old Quarter. The staff are super friendly and helpful, were able to organise an amazing trip to Sapa (or anywhere) for us. The rooms are newly renovated and immaculate.

Highly recommend if you're looking in the old quarter area. Olive hotel have amazing staff, Kathy was incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable along with organising tours and transport.

Great stay

The room is clean and basic. Staff and owner very nice and helpful. Just ask and they will do everything they can to make you feel more comfortable.

No elevator. But for the price I didn't expect more.

Avoid (especially with health issues)

The only good thing was the location.

Where to begin...at checking we were asked to pay for the room. We had enough money, but the receptionist didn't have enough cashback. We could pay later, but had to leave a passport. I kindly and calmly explained to her that her not having any change wasn't my problem and that I'm not obligated (not even allowed) to leave my passport with anyone who isn't a government official. All of a sudden there was enough change. This gave me a bad feeling, why did she need a passport? After this we were brought to the room. At first glance it looked like the picture. At second glance it looked as if the room was set 5 years after the picture was taken and the room had been closed the entire time. It was incredibly humid and dusty. It didn't look clean. There was mold all over the wallpaper. There was something that looked like dust on the closets, but at closer inspection this was mold that had been there for a while, as the sphores were visible. The bathroom wasn't any better, there was mold over the entire ceiling and it hadn't been cleaned. The floor in the room was sticky and dirty. Than the bed. I don't mind a hard bed, but this bed was hard as a rock. This wasn't even the worst. The mattrass was made out of three pieces, which were placed in width. The middle part was lower that the other three parts, which made it all very uncomfortable. The covers and pillows felt moist, probably due to the humidity in the room. Personal wasn't rude, just uninterested. The hotel also had a travel agency, but these people didn't seem to want to be disturbed by any questions as they were to busy with their phones. I said hello every time we passed and never got a hello back. If you're having medical lung issues, if you're pregnant or have small children, please don't book you're stay here. It's a health hazard. I sometimes had to open the door to the stairway to let some air in.

We enjoyed our stay and especially liked the location.

The location was good. We liked the balcony overlooking the street.

They need an additional garbage can in the room. They should put a larger plastic bag in the garbage can. There should be another plug for the fridge inside the room.

Clean easy place to crash whilst exploring the city

Great staff, super friendly. No frills just friendly and a decent clean place to put your head for the night. They offered to hold our luggage whilst we went to Halong Bay too.

We didn't have a window, well we did but it opened to a wall however we only booked the cheapest room as a bed for the night in hanoi which this place was perfect for.

Nhân viên nhiệt tình

Phòng cũ kĩ, không giống như trên ảnh, nước trên phòng quá yếu. Tiện nghi nói chung là tệ. Nhân viên nhiệt tình nhưng chưa nắm rõ về chính sách check in sớm mặc dù đã hỏi trước. Lỗi của mình là book nhầm ngày nhưng nv đã gọi lại xác nhận rằng có thể ĐỔI sang ngày khác giúp mình nhưng không sửa trên booking được. Sang hôm sau thì bạn quản lý lại nói rằng vì mình book sang ngày khác nên chỗ bạn phải bồi hoàn tiền cho khách đã book vào ngày 16, thành ra mình phải thanh toán số tiền bồi hoàn đó. Vậy sao tối hôm 15 không nói với mình rằng đã có khách khác đặt phòng vào ngày 16 rồi?? Không biết đây có phải là lí do chính đáng hay không hay chỉ là cách nói để mình thanh toán khoản check in sớm. Tóm lại là, trước tiên Lỗi do mình đặt sai ngày nhưng lỗi của nv là không nói rõ ràng ngay từ đầu là check in sớm phải thêm phí, mặc dù mình đã hỏi ngay lúc vào khách sạn là check in sớm có trả thêm phí hay không thì bạn lại nói là không.
